Jung Tae-yoon soon finds himself in the middle of a crisis, when a rogue North Korean general threatens to launch a nuclear missile at the United States.
The movie features stunning aerial cinematography and realistic flight sequences, with the full support of the Korean Air Force. The movie also showcases the F-15K fighter jets, which are the main combat aircraft of the Korean Air Force. The movie was shot in various locations, including Seoul, Busan, Jeju Island and Arizona.
Return to Base was released in Korea on August 15, 2012, and was also screened in several countries, such as Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
